Maaaaaaaaaan, I'm a mom of four and pregnant with my last baby. My husband and I were struggling so hard with helping all the kids on their different grade levels of reading. Ages 5, 6, 8, & 10. Look this app got EVERYONE on track in only a few months. Scores on reading test came back yesterday and I started crying. I prayed for help, tried hooked on phonics, waste of money. Tried abc mouse, waste of money, but ELLO! Yeah Ello did its big one. It's affordable like cheap as it gets & still better than all the rest. Try it.

My 8yo is very behind on reading. We downloaded today and I promise within 10 minutes she's was reading more confidently and chose on her own to keep going (she's always hated practicing reading). I asked if she likes it, she said "YEAH! It's way better than what y'all have me do." 🤣

This app is fantastic!!!! It makes reading so fun, my special needs 8 yr old has read 20 books in 3 days and already improved so much in such a short time!!! My 6 year old is now reading ahead for his age also, they love it and I love the daily updated progress reports! With 5 kids we have tried so many reading programs and apps but Ello is sooooo much better and an amazing value for what you get!

I don't usually leave reviews, but this app changed our lives! My first grader was really struggling with reading and writing. She would get frustrated often and break down, leading to tantrums. Ello really broke it down and made things easier for her to understand with the guided reading. She loved reading now and upped a reading level in one session!

My daughter has tried tons of apps, pointless subscriptions she would only try out for a day and not get any interest or that much interaction with. This is hands down the first app she loved. I was surprised with how much interaction there was with her and how carefully it actually listens to the correct letter sound to move forward. Also the help if she needs it. Her goal was only 10 minutes today and she herself stayed on for 45 minutes. Couldn't be happier.

Love love love!!! My kids are so into Ello, they actually are fighting over who uses my phone first to read when they got home from school. Never thought I'd find a program my older son likes to read with!

My son started this program in October 2025. He was 7 years old and he didn't know at all how to read because of his ADHD. I can testify now — not only has he been reading 20 books, he's also the best reader ever! He used to go to Kumon, paying $12,000 for 6 months with very minimal results. And now I pay less than $15 per month and he's doing that great.

We started using Ello because my daughter's fluency speed was slow. She has Auditory Processing Disorder and although she was reading near grade level (1.7, she's in second grade), she was reading 10 words per minute. She started with Ello just over 5 weeks ago and has gone from 10 words per minute to 32 words per minute. My daughter is starting 1st grade this year, but thanks to Ello, she's already reading at the end-of-1st-grade level! Thanks to ELLO helping my 6 year old son read at his own pace two books a day for almost 3 months now he can read a full page without stuttering and has built his confidence to pick out books at the school library. I would also like to mention customer service is so patient when it comes to fixing an error and gets back to you within a timely manner.

My child struggles to read, mostly as he has lost his confidence in himself and doesn't like to be corrected. Ello has allowed him to struggle through decoding and gently reinforces the correct pronunciation and sounds to help him. This is the best reading app for my little one! I have a child who finds reading difficult and boring, but with Ello, from the first day I saw a better attitude, new confidence, and interest in the stories. I see growth and my little reader gaining new skills by the day.

This has been the best decision I have made for my son's reading. He went from sounding the simplest words like "it" iiiiitt. He is in second grade again this year; I decided to hold him back because he was reading at a kindergarten level. When he started Ello he was reading 6 words per minute. Within 2 weeks of using this app he is now reading 26 words per minute! He absolutely hated to read, but now he actually enjoys it. I love how this whole thing is set up!

My second-grade grandson is a reluctant reader, below grade level. I told him he'd be one of the first to try an AI reading tutor for kids. My granddaughter didn't enjoy reading in the beginning. I saw Ello and started reading to her as often as I could. Now she reads Ello stories SHE chooses!

As a homeschool mom, it's nice to be able to do language arts with one child while the other is reading with Ello. Then we switch. It listens to them as they read, then pauses after a page to sound out words they'd gotten wrong, then has them continue on. Both my kids read a touch faster now.

I have struggled to get my child to read daily. Having the app has been a game changer. My child now approaches me to read and will read three books in a row. He loves the feature where he can create his own story. I like that the app will break down a difficult word so my child can learn how the word is pronounced. Such a fun and helpful app. We love Ello.

Decided to try it for our 8 year old who thinks reading is "boring". The very first night she read an hour straight! We'll see if this is something that can keep her interest and motivation, but so far so good!
